Anne DarConte, CAE is the Founder and Principal of Beyond K Street, LLC, a boutique public affairs and government relations firm. She has more than 30 years of federal, state, and local government relations experience and advises clients on strategic initiatives including advocacy messaging, grassroots and grass tops advocacy, Hill Days, advocate training, and community outreach. She is a Certified Association Executive, with experience in many areas of association management. Successful projects include: management of a 50-state coalition in the accounting profession including state legislative and regulatory matters, outreach priorities, stakeholder relationships with national and state-based organizations, and support for ad hoc state government relations initiatives. As the Director of Outreach for a 500-member energy trade association, she created that association’s grassroots and grass tops program. She has also served as Director of Grassroots for a $125MM trade association, responsible for the organization’s grassroots initiatives and Get Out The Vote program.

Michael Butera

Michael is the founder of Association ActiVision, LLC a bouquet consultancy focusing on governance and program restructuring, and strategic develop. Scott Morris, MPA, CAE

Scott Morris was with the Building Owners and Managers Association (BOMA) International as Director, State and Local Affairs for over 4½ years. In that capacity, he served as a resource for BOMA local associations and state coalitions to help strengthen BOMA’s collective advocacy and grassroots outreach. Previously, Scott was with the National League of Cities (NLC), where he served as NLC’s official liaison to the 49 state municipal leagues for 11½ years and as a senior policy analyst in the areas of transportation and economic and community development for 2 years. Prior to his work at NLC, he was a lobbyist with the Connecticut Conference of Municipalities (state municipal league) at the State Capitol in Hartford. Scott holds a Master’s degree in Public Administration from Syracuse University’s Maxwell School of Citizenship & Public Affairs and a B.A. in Political Science from Trinity College in Hartford, Connecticut. In addition, Scott has attained ASAE's Certified Association Executive (CAE) credential. Scott is active in the American Society of Association Executives (ASAE), currently serving as Immediate Past Chair of ASAE’s Government Relations Section Council.
